Q: Can you provide gluten-free meals?

A: Yes. In fact, all of our meals are 100% gluten-free.

Q: Who needs to be on a gluten-free diet?

A: People who are diagnosed with celiac disease should be on a 100% gluten-free diet. People with wheat allergy, autism or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD, ADHD) may also want to consider a gluten-free diet.

Q: What is celiac disease?

A: Celiac disease, also known as gluten intolerance, is a genetic disorder that affects 1 in 133 Americans. Symptoms of celiac disease can range from the classic features, such as diarrhea, weight loss, and malnutrition, to latent symptoms such as isolated nutrient deficiencies but no gastrointestinal symptoms. The disease mostly affects people of European (especially Northern European) descent, but recent studies show that it also affects Hispanic, Black and Asian populations as well. Those affected suffer damage to the villi (shortening and villous flattening) in the lamina propria and crypt regions of their intestines when they eat specific food-grain antigens (toxic amino acid sequences) that are found in wheat, rye, and barley. Oats have traditionally been considered to be toxic to celiacs, but recent scientific studies have shown otherwise. More information on celiac disease can be found by visiting Celiac.com.

Q: Do you offer low sodium meals?

A: We do. Most World Gardens Café's meals have reduced levels of sodium. If you would like very low levels of sodium, World Gardens Café can customize a meal plan for you. If you have special doctor’s orders that need to be followed, World Gardens Café can create healthy gourmet meals tailored to most dietary restrictions.

Q: I just bought a World Gardens Cafe's product. The nutritional information on the box is different than what is on your website. Why is that? Which one is right?

A: It is at times necessary to change the ingredient statements or nutrition facts on our products, which results in changes to our packaging. Because World Gardens Café products are shipped directly to consumers’ address, there is a delay between the times new packaging gets used and when new packaging arrives to consumers. Any packaging changes that occur are changed on our website as the packaging arrives at our kitchen. Therefore, the information on the website is often more accurate. If you are still unsure about any discrepancies, please contact World Gardens Cafe's customer relations via telephone or email.

Q: How long will it take me to prepare a World Gardens Café meal?

A: All of our individual meals are easily microwaveable and ready to enjoy in just 10 minutes or less. Specific heating instructions are on every product you purchase from World Gardens Café. Oven heating times are also provided and generally take approximately 30 minutes.

Q: How do I prepare my meals?

A: Our packaging includes complete preparation instructions, and all are either microwaveable or easily prepared in a conventional oven. For your online convenience, we have posted individual cooking instructions on every product page.

Q: Where do you deliver?

A: We deliver in California, Nevada, Utah, and Arizona.

Q: How often do you deliver?

A: We can deliver as frequently as you would like. You decide on how much you need and when, and we will be pleased to oblige any request. Deliveries are shipped out every Tuesday and Thursday.

Q: Can you deliver to a P.O. Box?

A: Shipping is not available to P.O. boxes.

Q: Do I have to be home in order to receive my meals?

A: No. All orders are shipped as “DRIVER RELEASE”. This means the package will be delivered to the recipient address with no signature required. Packages can be left at any exterior door location. Please be sure to alert the recipient that a perishable item will be delivered to them.

Q: What if I receive my meals and the dry ice has melted?

A: As long as your order arrived on time, and the meals are still "refrigerator-cold" to the touch, they can be safely stored in your freezer with no reduction in quality. If you're not sure, please call our Food Specialists toll free at 1.800.381.8219.

Q: How long does delivery take?

A: Most orders ship and arrive within 3 to 6 business days from the day you place your order. If you order food that is out of stock, your order could take up to 11 days as it takes us time to clean the meat, marinate it, and then prepare, package, and deliver it to you. Alternatively, if you need the meals quickly we can always offer meal substitutions with what we have on hand. Q: How do I pay for my World Gardens Café meals?

A: We accept Visa and MasterCard only.

Q: I don't like to buy over the Internet because I'm concerned about security. How else can I place an order?

A: We use state-of-the-art encryption methods to ensure your security, but you may also call us toll free at 1.800.381.8219.

Q: What if I have a question about my bill?

A: You can contact our Customer Service Department at 1.800.381.8219, and they will be pleased to answer your questions.

Q: Are there quantity discounts available?

A: For individual meals, you will obtain meal discounts for multiple meals:

Receive 10% discount with your order of 10 or more meals
Receive 15% discount with your order of 20 or more meals

Another popular order option is our Meal Plan Program:

8 Oz. Meal Plan Program - Cost for a pack is $160 ($8.00 per meal - you save $1.95 per meal).
6 Oz. Meal Plan Program - Cost for a pack is $135 ($6.75 per meal - you save $1.74 per meal).
4 Oz. Meal Plan Program - Cost for a pack is $120 ($6.00 per meal - you save $0.95 per meal).

Q: Is there a minimum number of meals I can order?

A: Due to high cost of shipping and packaging, we ask customers to purchase a minimum of $50 worth of meals unless they are planning to pick up their meals from the kitchen.

Q: Can I mix my packages to include some 4 oz., 6 oz., and 8 oz. meal choices in the same package?

A: No. The best way for you to achieve this is by ordering individual meals.

Q: Can I customize packages of individual meals of my own choosing and have them auto shipped to me at regular intervals?

A: Yes. Please contact us at our office number or by email and we will create a custom price for your meal package.

Q: What if I choose a package and then decide I do not like the food? Is there a guarantee?

A: Yes. We guarantee that you will be completely satisfied with the quality of our food. If you are not 100% satisfied, we will replace the item or refund you the money (minus shipping and handling), whichever you prefer.

Q: Does World Gardens Cafe cater?

A: Yes. We cater locally, in Southern California. For more information on catering, please call 1-800-381-8219.

Q: Can World Gardens Cafe create a custom meal for me?

A: Yes. However, there would be a minimum order and you would have to put a deposit down for your custom meal/s.
